The Sprout Summer Lunch Program aims to ensure every child in Teton County has access to a healthy lunch during the summer. Sprout is for everyone — lunches are available to all families, regardless of income.
Sprout started as a response to the summer meal gap — students receiving a free or reduce lunch at school no longer have access to these meals in the summer. Since its start in 2020, Sprout has grown into a program families count on each summer.
The Sprout Mobile visits three sites each weekday, sharing lunches at local parks and Teton County Library. Along with providing free lunches, Sprout partners with community organizations to host activities for kids.
In 2026, Sprout returns for its seventh summer, and plans to distribute 10,000 free Sprout lunches throughout the community. This summer, Sprout is projected to surpass 50,000 free lunches shared since its beginning.

Hole Food Rescue aims to include fresh fruits and vegetables in every Sprout lunch. While we try to include as much rescued food as we can, we cannot consistently rely on rescued food for Sprout lunches. For that reason, we purchase food, including local produce from Slow Food in the Tetons, in order to ensure consistent nutrition in every lunch. Your contributions directly support Sprout lunches, helping us provide accessible lunches for kids in Teton County.
